mahna mahna .net

Like many personal blogs of its era, this blog is moribund, a casualty of what we might call "the Facebook effect." However, as of late 2015, two things are clear: (1) The Indie Web is a thing, and (2) the re-decentralization of the web is a thing. So who knows? 2016 2017 (!) could be the year this blog rises from its own ashes. Stay tuned!

My home-grown, bare-bones comments system here on the mahna mahblog has long remained esoteric enough to be untouched by comment-spam bots.

Sadly, it’s no longer true. There’s been a shipload of comment spam around here lately. I’ve cleaned up most of it, and, sadly, destroyed a few legit comments along the way. I’ve also made some changes to the site code so as to perhaps hide myself from these evil bastards once again. We shall see.

I blame your link from the staff page at SFist. Pagerank is a beeyotch.

Dunno what yer usin', but Wordpress has a captcha plugin for comments.

I'm still trying to figure out the Op Art ladder in Toronto.

It took me a few months of travelling daily through the South SF station to notice the holograms on the wall of old-timey photos (which you see as the train moves). Just something interesting to watch for next time you're taking BART to the airport.
